Ag Day – Held annually at the state capitol to honor National Agriculture Day, the Oklahoma CattleWomen work alongside the

Oklahoma Beef Council for this event. We promote beef with deliciously prepared beef recipe samples. We hand out recipes and information about beef’s nutritional profile. It’s a great day for visiting with legislators and their staff spreading the word about nutrient-rich beef.

Oklahoma City Home and Garden Show – Oklahoma CattleWomen attend the Home and Garden Show to promote healthy eating through beef as well as to demonstrate and sample new beef recipes. In 2013, the OCW appeared on three televisions spots promoting the event.

Quarterly Meetings –  Are held throughout the year in conjunction with the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association at locations throughout the state. The November meeting is always held at OKC West Stockyards. The ribeye lunch is prepared and sold by OCW as a fundraiser. Each year, the membership votes to support a specific charity using these funds.

Oklahoma Cattlewomen at Annual Convention in San Deigo, CA 2016

Annual Meeting –  The meeting is scheduled the last weekend in July and is held in conjunction with the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association Annual Convention. The annual meeting is surrounded by great speakers to make the event a packed schedule to complete OCW business and keep on top of industry issues.

Another don’t miss is the Ladies Day Luncheon, held at convention. OCW makes its two awards presentations during the luncheon including the Oklahoma Cattlewoman of the Year award and the Honorary CattleWoman of the Year award.

All OCW members are welcome at board meetings and general session meetings.

Tulsa State Fair Beef Tent – The Beef Tent is a Ribeye Sandwich concession operated for 11 days by the Oklahoma Cattlemen during the Tulsa State Fair. Oklahoma CattleWomen work as volunteers for the Oklahoma Cattlemen for three days making and selling the sandwiches. Collegiate CattleWomen also participate in this event.
